Our Founders
Sheri Parris & Kristi Koslow
Sheri Parris & Kristi Koslow were both born & raised in Fort Worth, Texas. They never met in their early years, but grew up in close proximity to each other, with shared family connections & shared memories of growing up in Fort Worth.
Sheri has lived in Fort Worth all her life. Kristi was separated from
Fort Worth as a teenager (in 1994), when she became incarcerated in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system.
In March 2023, as a student at Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth, Sheri answered a call from God to reach out to Kristi. Likewise, Kristi answered a call from God to respond. And they formed a friendship founded in their love for God.
It was quickly evident to both, that God had called them into ministry together. And they began working as a team to minister to incarcerated individuals. This led to the birth of a new ministry, which they named "Brite Morning Star."
Today, Sheri is still a student at Brite. Kristi remains incarcerated. And the ministry is growing . . .
